About Pelomaps

Petra Elo — Founder

Pelomaps was founded by Petra in 2025 to help organisations navigate complex planning, environmental, and land-use challenges through data-driven mapping and analysis.

Petra's background is in urban planning, and she has worked in small- to medium-sized private companies, most recently as a Senior Planner at a London-based town planning consultancy. She has managed planning applications from inception stage to post-submission stage for clients in the renewable energy sector, residential sector, student accommodation and co-living sector.

She has also worked in the renewable energy sector for a private developer, bringing valuable experience and firsthand insight into the fast-paced nature of development and project delivery in the important space of Net-Zero.

During her time as an urban planner, Petra recognised how important spatial data is for development projects, and how much value truly understanding the context of a place brings when planning for a development project (whether it is a private development, masterplan or a city-wide public transport network). Now she aims to bring this expertise to others working in the built environment sector to support better project outcomes.

This is where Pelomaps comes in, aiming to bridge the gap between technical geospatial data and informed decision-making on a project-by-project basis. The outputs are delivered in clear visuals, such as maps, which can be used in reports, grants, presentations and stakeholder engagement events to name a few. These types of visuals carry significant value and clearly communicate spatial information better than text-heavy reports ever could on their own (a picture is worth more than a thousand words)! This plays a key role in creating better places for everyone.

Petra is committed to establishing long-term collaborations and providing a flexible approach in order to tailor her services to match each clients' individual project needs.
